They should have named the movie "41 Producers"!
It used to take just one person to produce a movie...but now everybody gots their hands in everyone's elses pocket. Production costs? No, kickbacks.
If you closely at the names...(of the credited producers) you can see ...corruption, extortion...crooks.
Getting Producer credits means you get a producers check, money for being creditted a producer.
In other words, you don't have to do anything...you don't have to 'produce' anything, ...you just tell the
guy "I want producerers credits and the money that goes with it."
You can even threaten the guy like, "YOU DON'T GIVE ME PRODUCERS CREDITS YOU DON'T GET THE MOVIE MADE, GET IT BUDDY!!!!"
Before you know it....you got 41 producers. Everybody jumps on the band wagon...gettin a piece of it. How much does each producer gets
whether or not he shows up for work?
Let me give you an example of one name on that list (so you won't have to do so much work cross-checking)
Take for example the Casting Director. The Casting Director gets paid for casting the movie. But they don't get paid that much...they
are just "file clerks"...looking through the files for a photo headshot.
But the casting director members tell each other..."You want to know how to make more more money? Just tell that independent movie maker
if they want Stars, you're going to have to pay more for it. Ask for, no not ask for..demand producers Credit!!!"
So, if you're an indepedent film maker, and you want to make a movie in Hollywood....you got these people who all want a piece of the
action, they want money...they don't want to do anything for it...they just want kickbacks. Extortion.
The Casting Director will tell you, "You don't get your movie made without me! I'm the fuckin casing director! I want Producers Credits!"
And then another guy comes along and says "My schmucky cousin is looking for a start in show business, give him producer credits and
I'll talk to Wienstein and make sure you get distribution."
And you got 41 mouths to feed.
Don't talk to me about Production cost, it's all a lie. It's Kickback Extortion cost.
